Montreal (January 19, 2006) - The limited edition smart fortwo grandstyle made its Canadian debut at the 2006 Montreal Auto Show today. Equipped with a silver tridion safety cell and bodypanels in exclusive “dark green metallic”, only 200 units will be made available to customers as of April 2006. Our smart Centres are already taking reservations.
The smart fortwo edition grandstyle is available with the 3 cylinder 799cc 40 hp diesel cdi engine currently offered in the regular fortwo coupé or a cabriolet. The smart fortwo edition grandstyle is essentially a customized version for customers who are looking for a one-of-a-kind vehicle.
Exclusive features to the grandstyle include “dark green metallic” body panels, unique beige colour leather seats, interior door trim with beige leather storage compartment, black leather-effect instrument panel, “grandstyle” exterior badging, and contrast components in silver.
Other standard equipment found in the smart fortwo edition grandstyle include the smart sound package with integrated MP3 interface, CD holder, cockpit clock and rev counter, heated seats, 3-spoke leather sport steering wheel with gearshift paddles, and for the coupé, an electric glass sunroof.
The smart fortwo edition grandstyle is priced at $23,300 for the coupé and $25,100 for the fortwo cabriolet.
